On May 21, ReaVis and Nippon Seiki officially established a Joint Innovation Lab and held a signing ceremony . The establishment of the lab marks a new phase of in-depth collaboration between the two companies in the field of Head-Up Display (HUD) technologies.

Leveraging ReaVis’ strengths in original HUD technologies and Nippon Seiki’s extensive expertise in automotive electronics and display systems, the Joint Innovation Lab will focus on advancing the application of HUD technologies across a wider range of vehicle models and driving scenarios. Both parties will jointly explore innovative applications, including RV Parallel Vector (PV) ghost-image free technology, to further enhance the immersion and safety of in-vehicle information display experiences.
During the signing ceremony, representatives from both companies delivered speeches and held in-depth discussions on the strategic goals, project planning, and collaboration framework of the Joint Innovation Lab. Following the ceremony, both teams conducted technical exchanges and solution discussions, laying a solid foundation for future R&D cooperation.

Founded in 1946, Nippon Seiki is a globally recognized manufacturer of automotive instrument clusters and HUD systems. Headquartered in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, the company employs approximately 13,000 people worldwide. Its automotive components business serves as the company’s core pillar, with motorcycle instrument clusters ranking No.1 globally in market share. Nippon Seiki has long been dedicated to automotive display technologies, accumulating extensive expertise in product design, development, and manufacturing, while operating production bases around the world. Its business portfolio also covers sensors, general instrumentation equipment, and resin materials.
ReaVis focuses on original technology R&D and innovative product development, aiming to create industry-leading AR display solutions. Founded in Cambridge, UK in 2019, the company is currently headquartered in Nanjing, China, and has received investment from well-known institutions including Sequoia China, Xiaomi, Linear, and Lanpu Capital. ReaVis specializes in HUD products and has developed multiple industry-leading technologies, providing innovative HUD solutions for passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, rail transit, construction machinery, and other sectors.
The RV Parallel Vector (PV) ghost-image free technology was independently developed by ReaVis. By applying vector-level pre-compensation on optical lenses and projection modules, the technology enables highly parallel reflections after light enters a standard windshield, thereby achieving high-definition ghost-free images. This technology revolutionarily enables high-quality ghost-free projection on standard windshields, eliminating the dependence of traditional HUD solutions on customized wedge-shaped PVB films.
The technology also demonstrates strong versatility. It is compatible with various projection systems including TFT, DLP, and LCoS, supports different projection distances, and can be applied to multiple product forms such as W-HUD, AR-HUD, and 3D AR-HUD. In addition, it can adapt to windshields with different thicknesses and angles.
To date, the solution has secured mass-production project orders from three OEMs and successfully won a nomination from a leading automaker at the end of last year.
